The Thanksgiving season is fast approaching – a time of year we reflect on all we have been given with a heart of gratitude and reverence.
Too often, that reflection takes on an earthly viewpoint. We measure our blessings in a tainted, tangible way – one that places the finances, the relationships, and the possessions on the top of the list.
But this year, I want you to think about the priceless blessings in your life – the ones that often lack a tangible, physical characteristic to them. Money cannot buy them. They cannot come in the form of a person, for it they do; they lack consistency, stability, and a type of endurance that is beyond human capability to sustain. Without them, life becomes unbearable and lacks a deeper purpose. They drastically impact our earthly existence, but have an eternal origin – moving with us as future ages unfold.
They can only be given, sustained, and upheld by the Source of all things – our Heavenly Father who graciously and abundantly is the sole provider of each.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” – Hebrews 13:8 NIV

“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Hebrews 13:5 ESV
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble.” – Psalm 46:1 BSB
An Eternal Spirit
“The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” – Romans 6:23
“And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” – Ephesians 2: 6-7 NIV

Think for a minute about the PRICELESS VALUE of these blessings my friend – available to each of us every day and forever 😊
Think of a kind of comfort that pierces the soul in a way that nothing or nobody else can provide. Think about obtaining wisdom that goes beyond the present moment and sees what is to come. Think about precise guidance and direction for all you face in life or a relationship that never abandons or rejects. Think about a love that always forgives, is unconditional in nature, and gives you grace when you need it most. Think about a life without limits – one that lasts for ages to come.
What about living a life each day with a peace that surpasses all understanding or tender mercies that are new every day? What would life be without these priceless blessings?
The best part is they come to each of us at no cost. We cannot possibly earn them, buy them, or sustain them on our own. They are continually and impartially given if we simply open up our hearts and receive them.
Thank you, God, for these priceless gifts! I pray that each of us see them in a new light this Thanksgiving – giving thanks to a God who is the irreplaceable Source of them all!
